ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀਉ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਆਪਣਾ ਜਿਤੁ ਢਾਢੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਵੈ ॥

Prabh Jeeo Dhaevahu Dharasan Aapanaa Jith Dtaadtee Thripathaavai ||

प्रभ जीउ देवहु दरसनु आपणा जितु ढाढी त्रिपतावै ॥

O Dear Lord God, please bless Your minstrel with the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan, that I might be satisfied and fulfilled.

ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਣਨੀਯ ਮਾਲਕ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਢਾਢੀ, ਮੈਨੂੰ, ਆਪਣਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਰੱਜ ਜਾਵਾਂ।

ਜਿਨੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿਆ ਸੇ ਹੋਤ ਦੇਖੇ ਖੇਹ ॥

Jinee Naam Visaariaa Sae Hoth Dhaekhae Khaeh ||

जिनी नामु विसारिआ से होत देखे खेह ॥

Those who have forgotten the Naam, the Name of the Lord - I have seen them reduced to dust.

ਜੋ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ; ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ।

ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਬਿਲਾਸ ਬਨਿਤਾ ਤੂਟਤੇ ਏ ਨੇਹ ॥੧॥

Puthr Mithr Bilaas Banithaa Thoottathae Eae Naeh ||1||

पुत्र मित्र बिलास बनिता तूटते ए नेह ॥१॥

The love of children and friends, and the pleasures of married life are torn apart. ||1||

ਪੁੱਤ੍ਰ ਦੋਸਤ ਅਤੇ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਦਾ ਮਾਣਨਾ; ਇਹ ਪਿਆਰ ਟੁੱਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਮੁਹਿ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਸੋਈ ਦੇਵਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੁਖਦਾਇਕ ॥

Muhi Mangaan Soee Dhaevadhaa Har Pithaa Sukhadhaaeik ||

मुहि मंगां सोई देवदा हरि पिता सुखदाइक ॥

Whatever I ask for, He give me; the Lord is my peace-giving father.

ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕੁੱਛ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਓਹੀ ਕੁੱਛ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹਰੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਖ ਅਨੰਦ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਣਹਾਰ ਬਾਪੂ ਹੈ

ਆਪੇ ਕਰਣੀ ਕਾਰ ਆਪਿ ਆਪੇ ਕਰੇ ਰਜਾਇ ॥

Aapae Karanee Kaar Aap Aapae Karae Rajaae ||

आपे करणी कार आपि आपे करे रजाइ ॥

He Himself is the Doer, and He is the deed; He Himself issues the Command.

ਹਰੀ ਖੁਦ ਆਚਰਣ ਹੈ, ਖ਼ੁਦ ਅਮਲ ਅਤੇ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਹੀ ਫ਼ੁਰਮਾਨ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਆਪੇ ਕਿਸ ਹੀ ਬਖਸਿ ਲਏ ਆਪੇ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਇ ॥

Aapae Kis Hee Bakhas Leae Aapae Kaar Kamaae ||

आपे किस ही बखसि लए आपे कार कमाइ ॥

He Himself forgives some, and He Himself does the deed.

ਉਹ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਕਈਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਹੀ ਘਾਲ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਨਾਨਕ ਚਾਨਣੁ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲੇ ਦੁਖ ਬਿਖੁ ਜਾਲੀ ਨਾਇ ॥੨॥

Naanak Chaanan Gur Milae Dhukh Bikh Jaalee Naae ||2||

नानक चानणु गुर मिले दुख बिखु जाली नाइ ॥२॥

O Nanak, receiving the Divine Light from the Guru, suffering and corruption are burnt away, through the Name. ||2||

ਨਾਨਕ ਰੱਬੀ ਨੂਰ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ, ਬੰਦਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਪੀੜ ਤੇ ਪਾਪ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਾੜ ਸੁੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਅਬ ਕੀ ਬਾਰ ਬਖਸਿ ਬੰਦੇ ਕਉ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਭਉਜਲਿ ਫੇਰਾ ॥੩॥੭॥

Ab Kee Baar Bakhas Bandhae Ko Bahur N Bhoujal Faeraa ||3||7||

अब की बार बखसि बंदे कउ बहुरि न भउजलि फेरा ॥३॥७॥

O Lord, please forgive Your slave now, in this life, so that he may not have to return again to this terrifying world-ocean. ||3||7||

ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੋਲੇ (ਸੇਵਕ) ਨੂੰ ਐਸ ਵਾਰੀ ਮੁਆਫ਼ ਕਰ ਦੇ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਲ ਗੇੜਾ ਨਾਂ ਕੱਢੋ।

ਜਿਥੈ ਅਵਘਟ ਗਲੀਆ ਭੀੜੀਆ ਤਿਥੈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਕਰਾਇ ॥੧॥

Jithhai Avaghatt Galeeaa Bheerreeaa Thithhai Har Har Mukath Karaae ||1||

जिथै अवघट गलीआ भीड़ीआ तिथै हरि हरि मुकति कराइ ॥१॥

Where the path is difficult and the street is narrow, there the Lord shall liberate you. ||1||

ਜਿਥੇ ਬਿਖੜੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੰਗ ਗਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਓਥੇ ਕੇਵਲ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
