Kabeeraa Jehaa Giaan Theh Dhharam Hai Jehaa Jhooth Theh Paap ||

कबीरा जहा गिआनु तह धरमु है जहा झूठु तह पापु ॥

Kabeer, where there is spiritual wisdom, there is righteousness and Dharma. Where there is falsehood, there is sin.

ਕਬੀਰ, ਜਿਥੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਬੋਧ ਹੈ ਉਥੇ ਨੇਕੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਜਿਥੇ ਕੂੜ ਹੈ ਉਥੇ ਕਸਮਲ ਹੈ।

First, Allah created the Light; then, by His Creative Power, He made all mortal beings.

ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਚਾਨਣ ਰਚਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਪਾਰ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਬਣਾਏ।

ਏਕ ਨੂਰ ਤੇ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਉਪਜਿਆ ਕਉਨ ਭਲੇ ਕੋ ਮੰਦੇ ॥੧॥

एक नूर ते सभु जगु उपजिआ कउन भले को मंदे ॥१॥

From the One Light, the entire universe welled up. So who is good, and who is bad? ||1||

ਕਬੀਰ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਲਕੜ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਾ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਉਂ ਵਿਖਾਲਦਾ ਹੈ?

ਹਿਰਦੈ ਰਾਮੁ ਨ ਚੇਤਹੀ ਇਹ ਜਪਨੀ ਕਿਆ ਹੋਇ ॥੭੫॥

ਤੇਰਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੀਸ ਉਤੇ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੜ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਯੋਗਤਾ ਵੱਲ ਮੈਂ ਧਿਆਨ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ।

ਕਬੀਰ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਤੀਬਰ ਚਾਹਲਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਜਦ ਵੀ ਮੈਂ ਮਰਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਬੂਹੇ ਤੇ ਮਰਾਂ।

ਮਤ ਹਰਿ ਪੂਛੈ ਕਉਨੁ ਹੈ ਪਰਾ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਬਾਰ ॥੬੧॥

ਇਸੁ ਮਟੁਕੀ ਮਹਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੰਜੋਈ ॥੨॥

करै गुमानु चुभहि तिसु सूला को काढन कउ नाही ॥

One who takes pride in himself is stuck with thorns; no one can pull them out.

ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਡੇ ਚੁਭਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ।

ਅਜੈ ਸੁ ਚੋਭ ਕਉ ਬਿਲਲ ਬਿਲਾਤੇ ਨਰਕੇ ਘੋਰ ਪਚਾਹੀ ॥੪॥

Ajai S Chobh Ko Bilal Bilaathae Narakae Ghor Pachaahee ||4||

अजै सु चोभ कउ बिलल बिलाते नरके घोर पचाही ॥४॥

Here, he cries bitterly, and hereafter, he burns in the most hideous hell. ||4||

O Lord, please forgive Your slave now, in this life, so that he may not have to return again to this terrifying world-ocean. ||3||7||
